Discover 365: Day 83

March 24, 2013

I had thoughts today about writing a book. Maybe not a full book, but maybe chapters of a book. Something to allow me to express my opinions on certain things, opinions that would be fully fleshed out and well researched. Something that stops me from going on Facebook and unleashing my half thoughts on the world. I’m not sure what the end result should be, or even what I hope to gain by doing this, but for some reason I think it would be a good practice for me. Something to keep my mind alert and working. I suppose I should figure it out before I just start writing, though…

In addition to this odd revelation, it wasย awesome Sunday. Saw The Big Lebowski for the first time. That movie is FREAKING AWESOME and I don’t know how I went this long in my life without seeing it.

Discover 365: Day 82

March 23, 2013

I can’t say enough good things about Saturday. Just Saturday in general. What a fantastic day to exist.

This particular Saturday was full of eating and drinking, which is always fun. Tried a new restaurant for dinner that was AWESOME, so hopefully we’ll get to go back to that place.

Other than that, nothing to report. No complaints, life is good! ๐Ÿ™‚

Discover 365: Day 81

March 22, 2013

I got to hang out with the GLL ladies tonight, which was a lot of fun. I haven’t seen them in a while so it was nice to catch up and spend some time with everyone. The awesome part about that group is that everyone is in different stages of their life: Some of them are married with children, some are married or about to be married without children, and some of us are single and still trying to figure everything out. I’d say most of us are pretty successful and we all have interesting lives, so its always fun to get together and hear stories about what everyone has been up to. I kind of wish I got to spend more time with some of them, but life is busy!

I went to the man’s house afterwards and spent the night there. Very relaxing evening, actually!

Discover 365: Day 80

March 21, 2013

This year is just flying by and I did not realize it until I went to title this blog post and realized that we are already 80 days into the year! We are 22% done with this year! That’s just insane to me, I’m not sure where all the time is going!!!

Nothing exciting to report for today. I really should work in more happy hours with the girls during the week now that I have all of this free time.

Hmm. Gives me something else to work on. I think I need to prioritize all of these things that I’m trying to do! ๐Ÿ™‚

Discover 365: Day 79

March 20, 2013

This was a fairly productive day! Got some stuff done at work, went to the gun range to fire off some rounds/relieve some stress, went to one of the local microbreweries with JM, and then went to our favorite little beer bar and met our men there. I love the days when I have plans after work. Sometimes I think I should just continue to plan things and screw this whole “relaxation” concept. Maybe my issue isn’t so much that I need to relax more, but maybe the issue is that I need to stop committing to so many long projects that end up wearing me down?

I suppose that’s something to think about. I definitely need to get back on my fitness routine, too, so maybe that’s where my focus should be for the forseeable future. It’s really hard to be in shape and drink as much beer as I would like to, though. Such a dilemma! ๐Ÿ™‚

Discover 365: Day 78

March 19, 2013

Ended up having a pretty productive day at work and the boy made me dinner. I’d say it was a great day overall! I am looking forward to this weekend, though. This week seems to be dragging along and I wish it would just end already!!!

Nothing really to report today, honestly. If you’re reading this, I’m sorry for the waste of space…but I did commit to pointing out one good thing every day, so I needed to come up with SOMETHING to say! ๐Ÿ™‚

Discover 365: Day 77

March 18, 2013

This day will go down in history as the day that I slept for 12 hours and actually did not have anything better to do! I was so tired from the weekend that the only thing I wanted to do was sleep. It felt really nice. Sure, I probably could have spent my time doing something more useful, but what fun would that have been? Sometimes catching up on sleep is the most amazing thing you can do.
